We're always looking for new marshals. If you're over 18 (sorry, legal requirement), can keep your head while all around are losing theirs and blaming it on you, can usually keep up at the front on the LFNS™ and still want to go faster - if you're intrigued by the sexy yellow hi-viz vests and glamorous lifestyle of LFNS marshals, contact us to find out what to do next.

Our assessment and training programme will put you through your paces, looking at your skating ability, road sense and speed. We ask that you commit to marshal on average two skates a month or more (these can be LFNS™ or the Sunday Strolls) but as soon as you find out how much fun it is you'll want to do more than that.

You don't have to be a skating god to apply - most of our marshals weren't when they started - but don't let us discourage you if you are. Common sense, traffic sense, and a calm head are all more important than your 500m sprint time.

More trained First Aiders are always welcome. Bring your first aid kit, and introduce yourself to the marshals at the start of the skate.

We're always looking for help with publicity and the press, with handling enquiries from the public, with this web site, and with a host of other tasks that need doing every week to keep the skate running smoothly. If you have ideas, or you have a bit of free time, or both, please, again, get in touch.

Never skated?

If you've never skated before, please don't make a street skate your first outing!

We'd suggest taking some lessons and spending some time practicing on Serpentine Road in Hyde Park.

Street skating isn't too hard, but we wouldn't want your first experience to put you off.

Once you can stop and turn, the Sunday StrollTM is a good place to start.

Please read our rules if you're coming to skate with us.

LFNSTM Essential Info

The London Friday Night SkateTM runs every Friday at 8pm from the middle of Hyde Park Corner Roundabout (Wellington Arch).

The Sunday StrollTM runs every Sunday at 2pm, from the Eastern End of Serpentine Road, inside Hyde Park.
