== THIS WEEK ==

This week the LONDON FRIDAY NIGHT SKATE develops tunnel vision. We'll
be finding as many tunnels, over/under passes, twists and turns as we
can with a few hills thrown in. We pass one of the best views in
London ("shame the surface isn't the best as well", say my notes).

We head through the West End snaking our way around the Embankment and
doing the Strand before heading up through tunnels and alleyways to St
Pauls, London Wall and half time at Moorgate. Then Monument , London
Bridge, some long tunnels before we head over to Victoria and Sloane
Square for the final run back

The SUNDAY STROLL is heading to the EuroStar terminal at St
Pancras. Yes, in celebration of faster journeys to the skating meccas
of Paris and Le Mans, Roge is leading us on a 7 mile trip to the
British Library (insert joke about "stacks" here) on Euston Road. This
marble paved haven is but an 'op, skip and a jump away from the new
speedy blue chu chu terminus.

== LAST WEEK ==

Last FRIDAY was officially the coolest skate of the year. Reports are
that it only stopped for 5 minutes - any longer, and most of the
participants would have been frozen solid. And there was swearing.

The SUNSHINE SUNDAY STROLL went to Victoria, Pimlico and Charing
Cross: halftime outside Embankment station. Flags by celebrating
Kosovans, photos by Steph.

Wake up!

== EASTER: COME FLYER WITH ME ==

Fliers for this year's Easter Eggstravaganza (incorporating the Long
Good Friday Night Skate and Sunday Bunny Stroll) are predicted to be
available this weekend. If you can help getting the word out to local
shops, skate instructors (to be passed onto students), community
noticeboards, gyms, health clubs, or anywhere else they'll reach
people who may be interested and don't already know about it, please
get in touch and we'll give you a handful.

Press packs and sponsor packs are also now available for press and
potential sponsors. Did we say that last week? Never mind, it's
still true.

== FREE LUNCH ==

Participants at last year's Hovis London Freewheel may remember the
free sandwiches, or (more likely because they didn't get any
sandwiches) may remember the 38000 bikes, the skaters, the
radio-linked sound systems and the 9 mile loop of closed roads. This
year it's on 21st September, it has extra funding from City Hall,
organisers are planning for 100000 participants, and skaters are in at
the planning stage. Expect big things.
